A když už jsem u toho New Yorku, nemůžu nedat Kavalíra a Claye. Navíc dlouho plánovaného na ažpak, na neděli. Vpodstatě pět knih v jednom, z čehož vzniká místy trochu přeplácaný příběh (člověk má občas dojem, že snad mohl autor nechat hrdiny v klidu dožít penze, ale on je ještě jednou pošle na nějaké dobrodružství), užijete si Prahu, komiksovou historii, Antarktidu, Empire State Building - ALE je to výborné. Cesta dvou kluků od úžasného světa komiksových hrdinů, která encyklopedickým způsobem (pozor, místy fiktivním) zahrnuje i dějiny USA v průběhu čtvrt století, je čtivá a napínavá. Nebojte se počtu stran, je to velkolepý román.
Vyšlo česky ve světové edici Odeonu jako Úžasná dobrodružství Kavaliera a Claye. Ukázku jsem chtěla dát z antarktické části, protože ta mi v knize připadala strhující, ale nechci prozrazovat, co se tam Joeovi přihodí, tak je krátká.
